Live Happy Lane Winery & Vineyards is a family owned and operated boutique winery nestled in North East Texas. We pride ourselves in harvesting quality grapes from the Texas High Plains and are passionate about building new relationships and nourishing the relationships we already have.
MEET THE OWNERS
Ernie and Michelle Mays are blessed with a blended family of eight kids, three bonus kids married into the mix and two beautiful grandchildren. Live Happy Lane Winery & Vineyards is a vision God put on Ernie and Michelle’s hearts in 2019. Their ultimate dream is to develop a resort on the estate property with a tasting room (coming soon), eight acres of vineyards, bistro, spa and wellness center, chapel, event center and cottages for overnight guests.
Ernie and Michelle have a passion and calling to serve others. Live Happy Lane was created for others to get away, find balance, gain rest and be restored while enjoying the simple pleasures of life.
MICHAEL HENRY
GENERAL MANAGER
Michael Henry joined the vision for Live Happy Lane Winery & Vineyards in January of 2021. Through faith, he joined Ernie and Michelle Mays on the property to start building from the ground up. He has gone through each stage of life on the property, and has marched through the land’s trials of endearment, as well as its beautiful transition from raw, untouched land to a sculpted and groomed destination. Michael plans on learning and growing with the industry and cannot wait to see what God’s plan is for the future of Live Happy Lane Winery & Vineyards.

SHELBY MILLER
MARKETING AND EVENT COORDINATOR
Shelby is a graduate from Dallas Baptist University with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and a double minor in Marketing and Art. While at DBU, she lead in her sorority as the Public Relations Chair in 2019-2020 and the Executive Social Chair in 2020-2021, all while owning her own small business. During her senior year, Shelby held the title of Media Assistant at a ministry full-time and assisted in coordinating large scale events such as conferences and outreaches. After she received her diploma, she joined our team full-time as the Marketing and Event Coordinator.
Shelby is from Greenville and lives locally in Rockwall with her husband, Randy, and their three fur babies. She has been part of this family since her parents moved here in 2001. She is passionate about life and believes in making the most out of every moment. We trust that she will do everything necessary to make your event perfect!

Live Happy Lane Winery & Vineyards is located North East of Dallas in Greenville, Texas. Our first on-site building is under construction and coming soon! This beautiful wine lounge will feature breathtaking chandeliers, olive trees, original art pieces by Ashley Ellis and a large covered patio with a clear view of our water feature.

THE DUNCAN STORY
Live Happy Lane is a family ran business, and it was important to us that we incorporate our roots throughout the design of the wine lounge. We do not have generations of wine makers or grape growers in our family. However, we do have a long line of pioneers, entrepeneurs and business owners – all with inspiring stories. Old Man Duncan was a very successful cattleman in the early 1900’s. He was one of the last Indian Chiefs in the Northeastern Oklahoma Territory. He built a large horse barn in 1905, which is the same barn The Duncan is modeled after. Our family still runs cattle on that land today. When the structure was torn down, we collected some of the old wood from the barn and will showcase it within our wine lounge. The Duncan will feature a gallery wall with the artwork on our wine labels. However, the central focus of the gallery will be a photo of the original horse barn that The Duncan is modeled after.
WINE LOUNGE COMING SOON!
We have been thoughtfully curating and designing the perfect wine lounge to accommodate all of our visitor’s needs. We are so excited to open our first building on the Live Happy Lane Estate – The Duncan! This beautiful building will feature a unique atmosphere, perfect for a casual tasting, birthday, anniversary or holiday celebrations and boutique weddings. As we get closer to our opening date, we are now booking events for 2023.
